Professional Career

After graduating Summa Cum Laude at KU with a Masters of Accounting, Matt has worked in public accounting including several years with the New York City office of KPMG within their real estate financial services tax department. Matt was placed in a senior role to help manage tax compliance for two of the ten largest real estate funds in the world. Matt excelled in the use of technology to create efficiencies and methods, which provided the group with hundreds of hours of saved work. He was acknowledged by upper level management for advanced tax knowledge. He created an education program for the group to enhance the tax education for the members of the firm, and was one of the youngest members of the firm to be certified as a tax educator and presenter at KPMG.

Through this experience, Matt has dealt with very complex issues for pass-through entities and business structures. This exposure allows for creativity and perspective for small, medium and large businesses for growth and maturity.
